56 IAS And JKAS Officers Transfered: Dr. Bilal Is The New DC Srinagar
In a recent development, the Government of Jammu and Kashmir’s General Administration Department (Services) has issued Government Order No.37-JK(GAD) of 2024, dated 04.01.2024, outlining significant transfers and postings aimed at enhancing administrative efficiency.
1. Alok Kumar Assumes New Role: Mr. Alok Kumar, IRS:1990, formerly serving as the Principal Secretary to Government, School Education Department, has been transferred and posted as the Principal Secretary to Government, Higher Education Department.
He will also shoulder the additional responsibility of Administrative Secretary, Estates Department, until further notice.
2. Suresh Kumar Gupta Takes Charge: Mr. Suresh Kumar Gupta, IFS:1991, previously the Director of Social Forestry, J&K, has been appointed as the Principal Secretary to the Government, Culture Department.
3. Shailendra Kumar’s New Assignment: Mr. Shailendra Kumar, IAS:1995, who held the position of Principal Secretary to the Government, Public Works (R&B) Department, will now serve as the Principal Secretary to the Government, Agriculture Production Department.
4. Mandeep Kaur’s Transition: Ms. Mandeep Kaur, IAS:2004, Commissioner/Secretary to Government, Department of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, Housing & Urban Development Department.
5. Vikramjit Singh Takes on Additional Role: Mr. Vikramjit Singh, IPS:2004, Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, Industries and Commerce Department, will now also hold the charge of Administrative Secretary, Mining Department.
6. Yasha Mudgul Assumes New Role: Ms. Yasha Mudgul, IAS:2007, previously serving as Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, Cooperatives Department, is transferred and posted as Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, Tourism Department.
She will continue overseeing the Mission Director, Holistic Agriculture Development Program (HADP).
7. Dr. Rashmi Singh’s Responsibilities Expand: Dr. Rashmi Singh, IAS:2007, Commissioner, State Taxes, J&K, will now serve as Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, Hospitality and Protocol Department. Additionally, she will hold the charge of the post of Resident Commissioner, J&K Government, New Delhi.
8. Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary’s New Posting: Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, IAS:2009, Administrative Secretary, Tribal Affairs Department, will take on the role of Administrative Secretary, Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, succeeding his previous responsibilities as Chief Executive Officer, Mission Youth.
